Trading on the Australian securities exchange and ASX share prices in general took a bit of a beating in the year ending 2010. ASX Prices – even though the all ordinaries index closed down 0.07%, it had in fact risen around 15% in the 3 months to November.
Trading on the Australian Stock Exchange is not unlike trading on the New York stock exchange. Sure there are the cultural differences and there are the geographical conflicts but really there is no difference. The ASX and Share Prices

In July of 2006, the Australian Stock Exchange came together with the Sydney Futures Exchange to create Australian Security Exchange. Allowing for the inspection of Share Prices, the Australian Security Exchange offers many services that normal stock exchanges offer, such as real estate investment funds, exchange traded funds, online Forex trading, contracts for difference (CFD’s), and other stock trading opportunities. Normal stock trading takes place between ten AM and four PM. Short selling of trades is permitted on the exchange and is not encouraged or discouraged.

This is called a warrant on the price of a stock.

Whether this can continue into 2011 is of course subject to some debate.As with other stock markets the ASX share costs are prone to fluctuation.
The past year at least though has shown property to be a good investment, in contrast to the ASX share prices in general. When it comes to ASX Share Prices it seems that they are just as volitile as most other stock markets!
